JOY

J: In summer, I did many cool things like going to New York with my dad and my two sisters. My mom couldn't go because she was pregnant and the doctor told her that it was very danger. In New York, we stayed in the middle of Times Square in the hotel, Marriott Marquis. I enjoyed staying in that hotel because it was very beautiful from inside and outside. The only thing I didn't like was the food, it was horrible. We stayed 3 days in New York and we went shopping everyday. I buy many things like clothe, one video game, basket ball shoes etc. We also went to historical places to learn like the statue of liberty. It was very fun but we couldn't went inside the statue of liberty because we need it to do reservation a month before. Another place we went was to central park and to the museum of natural history. I learned a lot in the museum of natural history about the dinosaurs, about our ancient ancestors and many other things. In Central Park, we took a tour with a guy who was gay and it was very funny when he was speaking while he was explaining us about all the important things that were in that park. I get a lot of fun.

 O:  There are many  things that I want to do for my selve but I only going to write about one. One thing that I want to do for my selve is to work a lot in the gym and in other sports so I can become stronger, healthier and hotter :):):):):)hahah. By doing this, I could become healthier physically and mentally. This could help me in school in my homeworks and in my participation in class so that my grade could go up. Another reason that I want to do this for me is because I would get a girlfriend easier instead of being fat and all discusting :).  Being physically strong could help me to be a better fighter in taekwondo, and in muay thai. By being physically strong, would help also in other sports like in basketball with my condition while I'm runing etc. This is one thing I want to do for my selve.

Y:    Everybody is special in many aspects and ways for example, one guy could have a great heard and another guy could have strong legs.  In this paragraph, I'm going to write about what part of me makes me very special. I'm a very special kid who everybody loves specially my mom and my dad:):):), but I need to have something that makes me how I am. I am a short kid compared with my class mates but I have a lot of friends and not only in this school in the diferent grades, I have in other schools etc. By being a short kid, it makes me special from others. Another thing that makes me special are my beliefs. My family and I are the only ones who are mormons, that is a different religion in this school. There were many people who treat me different because of my beliefs but that changed when they started to know me better, and now, I always hang out with them. Everybody is special in this world, and by being special, we are different. This are some ways I'm special from other at my school etc.

Typing Tracker

For this entire year, we made Typed for several minutes each class in a program called Typing Master. This really helped us to improved our typing a lot especially me. At the start of the school year, my net speed was 17 and 18 words per minute. Now I have 29 or 28 words per minute. I think that I need to type a little faster like 332 words per minute. It was very boring doing typing as a course through the entire year but I think that it would be a good idea to have it in ninth grade. It would be a good idea because it would totally help us in the future a lot.

Reading: It is a good chart to show my scores because it is easy to understand. Well, you can't really see it because I didn't made the picture big when I past it to my blog but if we could made zoom, it would be easy to see and understand.

oil spill part 2

   The oil industry is creating ever-more technologically advanced equipment to deal with these issues. Obama, United states president, is making the impossible to solve this environmental problem. Also, for the several days, BP has been trying to use sub-sea robots, working at 5,000 feet below the surface of the ocean, to engage the blowout preventer and turn off the flow, which seems about 1,000 barrels (42,000 gallons) per day. As I said, this environmental problem would affect Mexico in the future but not only Mexico, it would affect other nations, countries etc. Some examples that would affect them is that they would stop importing the fish from Mexico to their countries. I can't imagine our beautiful oceans cover with oil. That would be crazy. In my opinion, the governments of other countries should helped the Unites States  by giving them money or new technology to stop this huge, danger problem. They should waste all the money that is neccesary to solve it. Right now, I'm sad and angry because we humans, are destroying our ecosystem, other's animals habitat, we are selfish people who only think in our needs etc.

   Today, United States is facing the greatest environmental disaster that is not only affecting them, is affecting more than 400 different species living in that area and if we don't do something quikly, in the future, this oil spill would affect Mexico economy/tourist. This oil spill happened because a boat filled of oil explode/burn and all the gallons of oil are now in the deep water of the Atlantic Ocean.

Mr.H 8Grade

Short story

 

      Edmund woke up in the middle of the night because he couldn’t sleep. He was very nervous about the game that he was going to play.  It was going to be the final and his team called Galaxy, was going to play versus the champion from last year.

     The next morning, he didn’t eat anything and went directly to the game.

“ Man, I’m so nervous about this game”, said Edmund.

           

                                   TIME PASS

   “! Mom, mom!”, said Edmund.

   “What darling”, said Edmund’s mom.

   “! We won, we are champions! !ohoo!, said Edmund.

   Edmund was very happy of wining the final, bit he didn’t new that a scout was observing him during the entire game.

 

      The next day, Edmund and his mom dress up to go to church because it was Sunday. Every Sunday, Edmund and his mom assist to the church because they were Mormons who believe in God ,in his son and the holy spirit.

      When he arrived home, the phone was ringing and he answered.

     “Hello”, he said.

      “Yes, with who I have the privilege to be speaking?”, said the scout.

     “Edmund sir”, he said.

    “Hey son, you have a great talent. Do you know that?” “I watch you yesterday in the final and I’m impressed.”  “ My name is Pablo and I want you to play in the minor league with Barcelona and we would take care of you until you are old enough to play as a professional soccer player.” “What do you say?” said Pablo.

    “I don’t know……… but thank you”, said Edmund.

    “ Think about it and tomorrow I would call you again and have the opportunity to speak with your parents, ok?” said Pablo.

    “ Yes”, said Edmund.

    “See you”, said Pablo.

 

         Edmund didn’t believe it, his dream was going to come true and he was so excited, until he reminded something. He had 18 years old, and it was the age to go in a mission, that consist on giving 2 years of your life to God to predicate about God’s word in any part of the world. He didn’t know what to do, become a professional, soccer player or to serve as a good Son of God. He went to his room and started to cry. He was very confused of what was going to be the best choice, so he started to pray and ask God.

 

       The next day, Edmund woke up early to prepare to school.

 

       When Edmund arrived home, he told his mom about the scout man named Pablo and the offer of going to play in Spain for the team Barcelona. At first, his mom scream of the happiness but when she realize that his son was sad, she ask him what was happening.

       “I’m 18 and you know that I  need to go to a mission”, said Edmund.

        “I don’t know what to say son, but you know that first comes God and then comes all the other things in life.” “You also know that if you choose the correct choice, God would benefit you a lot in life in many ways”, said Edmund’s mom.

        “Ok mom”, said Edmund.

         That entire day, Edmund prayed a lot and asked God what was going to be the correct choice for him.

 

         Tuesday, God heard Edmund’s preys and he knew that going to a mission was the right answer for everything. Later that day, Pablo call and Edmund answered again.

         “Hey kid, sorry that I couldn’t call yesterday because I had some problems in work but it doesn’t matter.” “Do you already decide to became the next Messi?” Said Pablo.

         “I really can’t do this right now because I need to go to a mission firsthand, and I don’t really think that you would wait 2 years so that I can play for you” said Edmund.

          “You are crazy kid, what are you thinking, mmmmmmmm, never mind kid.” “Bye”, said Pablo.

 

                                            2 YEARS LATER

 

           “! Edmund, Edmund, I’m so happy that you already here from your mission in England.” “Ohh my son, I love you so much” said Edmund’s mom.

           “I love you too mom and I’m very happy to be here with you”, said Edmund.

 

                                          7 YEARS LATER

 

               Edmund now had 27 years with a wonderful wife and 3 sons. He  has a perfect work and now he runs a company of restaurants all over the world and he is very rich.

 

 

    

   

Map testing

In the past week, we had Map testing in our school. This test consists to find out our measure of academical levels in 3 courses. Math, Reading and language. In my opinion, I think that Map testing is a waste of time for students. It is boring to stay like 1 hour in a chair and only answering question. I prefer that it would be better to do an SATs because you can concentrate more. Map Testing helps teachers to know in what level their students are so that they could learn more and easier. I like Map testing a little bit, because we can miss classes that we don't like :). I don't care a lot for my scores because it doesn't affect my grade at all but I think that they were normal, OK.
